The Review Board is established by the Health Professions Act consisting of the members appointed by the Lieutenant Governor in Council. The Chair is appointed for a term of up to five years and must be a member or former member of the Law Society of British Columbia or a law society of another province of Canada. Members are appointed after a merit based selection process for one or more terms of two to four years. A person may not be a member of the Review Board if the person is a registrant of a college, member of a body in another jurisdiction that regulates a health profession, or an employee or agent of the government of BC or another province or jurisdiction.
